  • Missiles Found in Lebanon

    The Lebanese army together with UNIFIL spotted four short-range Katyusha missiles this morning in Lebanon, near the border with Israel. The rockets were hidden inside a building, standing ready to be launched on their launch pads. Siniora condemned the launching of the Katyusha on Tuesday.

    Professor Gabriella Shalev, the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, filed a complaint with the UN Secretary-General, Ban Kimoon, after a Katyusha rocket was fired at Israel on Tuesday evening. Shalev wrote that there has been an increase of hostile activity directed against Israel from within Lebanon. "Israel expects the serious recent incidents to be addressed in the upcoming report on Resolution 1701."
