  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Etrog continues the report on the visit of Maran the Admor of Gur, shlit’a, to the homes of Gedolei Yisrael in the framework of his short visit to America, where he travelled to strengthen his followers and to increase activities and gedarim (fences) for chareidi Jewry. The visit has concluded and the Admor is returning to Israel.

Yesterday (Tuesday) the Gerrer Rebbe shlit’a visited the holy abodes of the Admorim of Satmar shlit’a, and took a place at the head of a gathering to introduce kosher cell phones to America. He also visited the holy abodes of the Admorim of Bobov, Munkatch, and Sanz-Klausenburg shlit’a. In addition, HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yechezkel Roth shlit’a paid a return visit to the Admor of Gur shlit’a in his host’s home.

The Admorim shlit’a spoke with the guest, Maran HaAdmor of Gur shlit’a, about important affairs of leadership, and in words of Torah. In the evening he also participated in the Sheva Berachos of the grandson of the Novominsker Rebbe shlit’a.

Yesterday in the morning the Gerrer Rebbe shlit’a wrote a letter in a Sefer Torah that was written in memory of his father, Maran HaAdmor HaLev Simcha of Gur zy’a, which was donated by the Nagid HaRav Shlomo Verdiger.

This morning (Wednesday, NY time) the Admor shlit’a visited Monsey, where he served as the sandek for the bris of one of his chassidim, and he also visited the holy abode of Maran HaAdmor of Vizhnitz Monsey shlit’a. Then he traveled to the village of New Square to visit Maran HaAdmor of Square shlit’a.

In the afternoon he was expected to meet the rabbanim and heads of Chabad, and to visit the gravesite of the Lubavitcher Rebbe zy’a. However, to the surprise of the kehillah of the chassidim in the US he announced that he was returning to Israel, and that he would not spend Shabbos in America as planned, even though a large hall had already been rented and the preparations for receiving thousands of guests had begun.

Maran HaAdmor of Gur shlit’a will arrive in Eretz Yisrael tomorrow (Thursday). On Shabbos he will participate in a “Kiddusha Rabah” in Bnei Brak for the great grandchild of Maran HaAdmor HaPnei Menachem of Gur zy’a.
Next week the Rebbe shlit’a is expected to travel to Italy to participate in the dinner being held on behalf of “Ichud Mosdot Gur.”
