Temple Mount Unrest
David Shmueli 25/10/2009 12:30Police on duty on Har HaBayit this morning were pelted by rocks and Molotov Cocktails. In response, a large force of police officers stormed the Temple Mount area with shock grenades, in order to apprehend the rioters. A total of 12 Palestinians were arrested. Prayers at the Kotel are continuing as usual.

Flu Emergency in U.S.
Eitan Fried 25/10/2009 08:30The President of the United States signed a declaration defining the spread of the Mexican Flu as a national emergency, and ordered health care workers to waive bureaucratic requirements in order to provide care to infected patients as quickly as possible. "The 2009 H1N1 pandemic continues to evolve. The rates of illness continue to rise rapidly within many communities across the nation, and the potential exists for the pandemic to overburden health care resources in some localities," Obama said in a statement.
