Livni: Iran is Toying with the World
Opposition leader MK Tzipi Livni, currently visiting Russia, will express her reservations with the Vienna Agreement.
On her visit Livni will express her reservations to the draft agreement with Iran according to which Russia and France will enrich uranium for Iran for civilian purposes only.
In a conversation this morning with Army Radio, Livni said that “the proposed agreement in Vienna did not insure us and the rest of the world that Tehran will not get a nuclear bomb.” She says there is no clear commitment that Iran will not continue to enrich uranium in the future. “This is what bothers the State of Israel,” she explained, “This was the requirement of all the superpowers until now and this is the thing that should be kept in any agreement. In the existing framework we do not see this happening.”
During the interview, Livni said in reference to the Katyusha rockets last night toward the Galilee Panhandle that UN Resolution 1701, which led to the end of the second Lebanon war, was not fully kept. She added that Lebanon must take responsibility for all that was implied by the launch.
“The UN resolution is not taking a blow, but it was not executed sufficiently and it should be enforced. First of all, the entire state of Lebanon is responsible for what is happening in Lebanon, and if there is drizzle of this sort, we must not get used to it,” she said.
