  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. Large Crowd at Yahrtzeit Seudah for Father and Son: The Admorim of Lokeve and Welberozh

Founder of the Lokeve dynasty and his son, founder of the Welberozh dynasty, passed away on the same day 41 years apart

Aharon Roth 24/10/2009 21:46

In the Lokeve-Welberozh Beis Medrash in Bnei Brak, hundreds of Chassidim and admirers gathered for a yahrtzeit seudah for the two Rebbes on Wednesday. The Beis Medrash serves hundreds of mispalelim every day in dozens of continuous minyanim.

The Yahrzteit seudah was held in honor of the Lokeve Rebbe Rabbi Yissachar and his son the Welberozher Rebbe zy"a.
The seudah was attended by many prominent Admorim and Rabbanim, among them Rabbi Shmuel Hakohen Turnheim and several public figures.

The main speech was delivered by Rabbi Chaim Feinstein, Rosh Yeshivas Beis Yehudah. Additional speeches were delivered by Rabbi Asher Zemel and Rabbi Nachum Sheinin.

Rabbi Shmuel Turnheim also spoke before the crowd and related several anecdotes about the Rebbes' lives and hanagos.

The Temeshvarer Rebbe spoke at length about the Rebbes and how to follow in their footsteps.

Rabbi Moshe Chaim Lau of Natanyah and Rabbi Tzvi Hakohen of Jerusalem also participated in the event, as did Rabbi Shlomo Salzmann of Neveh Yarok, Rabbi Moshe Betzalel Weinberg of Sochotzshov and Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Mozes of Kroli, to name just a few.
