Mofaz's Peace Plan
Eitan Fried 08/11/2009 17:17After the former Defense Minister and Army Chief introduced a political plan with the Palestinians, Hamas officials said that Mofaz's plan is an important step, and they are willing to sit down for negotiations with Israel on the subject. Mofaz's plan recognized Hamas as a partner for talks and offered a Palestinian state on the 1967 territories and a discussion on Jerusalem. Speaking to reporters he said, "If Netanyahu won’t implement this plan, I'll do it when I become Prime Minister."
