  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Baruch Dayan HaEmet Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Lider a"h and his Wife Mrs. Yocheved Lider a"h

Mrs. Yocheved Lider a"h passed away Monday morning in her home. In the afternoon her husband, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Lider a”h passed away in the hospital. They were buried next to each other on the same day.

Yochanan Weisberg 08/12/2009 14:56

Early Monday the important woman Mrs. Yocheved Lider a"h of Jerusalem passed away suddenly. Her father was the great educator Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Yaakovson z’l, and she was born in 5693 (1933) in the Shaarei Chesed neighborhood of Jerusalem.

People spoke about her good heart even in her youth, and the many deeds of kindness she did, and her constant concern for others. Day and night she always thought how to benefit those around her. Monday morning at 12:00 many people accompanied her to her final resting place at Har Menuchot.

Even before the funeral of the mother, the family members were called to their father's bed, the head of the family, the chassid Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Lider, who was recently hospitalized in serious condition at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. At the time of the funeral the family remained at his bedside.

Immediately upon completion of the burial, the children and grandchildren went on a bus taking them to Shaare Tedek, where they said the verses of Yichud. When they finished the verses of Shema Yisrael, the widowed head of the family returned his soul to the Creator.

The deceased a”h was born in Tiberias in 5690 (1930) to Rabbi Mordechai Lider a"h. He was a disciple of Harav Hakadosh Rabbi Mordechai Chaim Slonim ztz"l, and was also very close to and absolutely submissive to the holy Admor, author of the Birchas Avraham and Nachal Eitan of Slonim, ztz”l; after his passing he was close to the holy Admor of Slonim shlita.

The Levaya left from the Shamgar Funeral Home on Monday afternoon and he was buried next to the grave of his late wife who been buried there just a few hours earlier.
