  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

A team of 6 Oz Unit inspectors needed medical attention after they were attacked by 2 illegal aliens from India with tear gas.

The operation conducted by the special "Oz" deportation unit took place early this morning in Herzeliya. A group of 6 inspectors were attacked by 2 illegal aliens from India, with a form of tear gas known in Israel as "pepper gas".

The operation was planned after the unit received information about 2 Indian workers who have been living illegally in Israel for the last 10 years. The unit was told that the workers were in an apartment in Herzeliya.

Detectives and inspectors from the Oz unit went to the apartment, and when they arrived, the workers sprayed tear gas in their eyes. The inspectors suffered from a burning sensation in their eyes, and felt dizzy and nauseous. They received first aid on the scene, and the 2 Indian workers were arrested and will be deported from Israel.

Yehuda Ben Ezra, head of the Oz unit, denounced the attack, and said it the incident was a severe case of disrespect for law enforcement officials. Ben Ezra emphasized that those responsible for the attack will be dealt with harshly.
