Exclusive Report: Knesset Member Ben Ari to "Etrog" - "The Inspectors Must not be Let In"
In an exclusive interview with "Etrog", Knesset Member Michael Ben Ari has no qualms about challenging the law. "The entry of the inspectors must be unequivocally prevented. Anyone who makes laws solely against Jews is not upholding the law. That is selective lawmaking, and we must act out against it with all our strength."
The Ichud Leumi party held a meeting this afternoon in order to formulate a standpoint regarding what they call "the evil plot of the Netanyahu government." During the meeting, several ideas were raised regarding how to fight the freeze orders, and in the coming days, those ideas will turn into actions.
Just before the meeting began, "Etrog" spoke with Knesset Member Michael Ben-Ari. According to Ben-Ari, the decision to enforce a building freeze is outrageous, and is unprecedented by any Right-wing government. Everything possible must be done to prevent the decision from being enforced at the settlement construction sites.
"The decision was made in haste, without properly considering all the factors involved. The act was motivated out of a desire for political clout. Netanyahu did this in order to show the Americans he really wants to pursue peace, but he forgot that we have here the Jewish nation that wants to grow and develop, and settle the land, and do everything else that Netanyahu is officially meant to represent."
"Etrog" asked Ben-Ari how he intends to stop the implementation of the building freeze. He answered, "We will make a decision to de-legitimize his decision. We intend on using every means at our disposal to prevent the implementation of the decision. We will take action on the political front, by uniting the different parties, Knesset members, and Ministers who oppose the ridiculous building freeze, and we will give a striking blow to the initiative."
Knesset member Ben-Ari's brother is the head of the Karnei Shomron Council. This morning, he instructed the residents of his settlement to block the entry of Civil Administration inspectors.
"Was that an appropriate act?" we asked Ben Ari.
"Of course," he responded. "The entry of the inspectors must be unequivocally prevented. Anyone who makes laws solely against Jews is not upholding the law. That is selective lawmaking, and we must act out against it with all our strength."
