Sunday morning, a special and very moving event took place: the oldest grandson of the gaon Rabbi Mordechai Gross, shlita, Gavad of Chanichei HaYeshivos, lay tefillin for the first time.
Early Sunday morning, the gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Gross, shlita, son of the gaon Rabbi Mordechai Gross, shlita, arrived at his father's home on Rechov Chidushei HaRim in Bnei Brak. There, his firstborn son, the oldest grandson of Rabbi Morderchai, shlita, lay tefillin for the first time.
The event was a private one, with only family members present. The gaon Rabbi Mordechai Gross, shlita, placed the tefillin on his oldest grandson with great emotion, and in an elevated spiritual state. Afterwards, the grandfather and grandson went together to the beis midrash to daven Shacharis.
The Bar Mitzvah celebration will take place, b'ezrat Hashem, a month from now, and many gedolei Torah, Roshei Yeshivos, and Morei Hora'ah are expected to participate in the joyous event.
