10th Mexican Flu Victim
Eitan Fried 18/08/2009 17:24A 62 year old woman died today in the Intensive Care Unit of a Jerusalem hospital, where she had been hospitalized after contracting the Mexican flu. The Israeli Department of Health says: "The Israeli public is not panicking." Tomorrow, the eve of Rosh Chodesh Elul, will be special day of prayer throughout the country.

Death Shrouded in Mystery
David Katz & David Shmueli 18/08/2009 15:43Police have permitted the Israeli media to report details about the discovery of the body of Rafael Miriashvilli (Zohar), hy'd, a 25 year old from Shikun Chabad in Lod, whose handcuffed body was found in an abandoned structure in Beit Dagan. The police have not discovered any clues that can help them solve the mysterious case.

Gilad Still Not Free
Eitan Fried 18/08/2009 11:01In an interview aired last night on an American news site, regarding his scheduled meeting with President Obama, the Egyptian President revealed that Shalit was almost released from captivity, but the process was stopped "due to the interference of external elements." Mubarak did not state the identity of those who foiled the deal, but indicated that Israel also had a part in delaying Shalit's release.

Outposts are Legal

During the tour, Minister of Interior Rabbi Eli Yishai said, "These are legal settlements that were established by Israeli governments." Minister Moshe (Boogie) Yaalon made more extreme remarks, and said, "From a political, strategic perspective, there is great importance to maintain control of this region."

Mexican Flu Strikes 2
Shmuel Barzel 17/08/2009 16:33A 76 year old heart patient and a 67 year old man died after being infected with the Mexican flu. The total number of deaths from the flu in Israel is now 9. On Wednesday, a special prayer gathering will be held in an effort to combat the spread of the virus with spiritual weapons.

IDF Injures Egyptian Guard
17/08/2009 13:25An Egyptian Border Policeman was shot by an IDF soldier after the policeman opened fire on the soldiers. This is the fourth shooting incident on the Israeli-Egyptian border within two weeks.

Disengagement Denounced

US Delegation Causes Uproar
