Benizri to Prison Today
Avi Moshe 01/09/2009 11:09Rabbi Shlomo Benizri and Avraham Hirshson will begin to serve their prison sentences this morning. Rabbi Benizri, who claims he is innocent and that he is the victim of a "witch hunt", will be sent to the Maasiyahu Prison for four years. Former Finance Minister Avraham Hirschson has been sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison for stealing 2 million shekels from the Histadrut Labor Federation.

Murder in Jerusalem
Avi Moshe 31/08/2009 09:47An Arab stabbed a Jew in a building that served as a hostel, on Rechov Tzfania in Jerusalem. "Hatzolah" paramedics worked to revive the victim, but the man died half an hour the incident occurred. The police are hunting for the Arab attacker, who worked at the site of the murder. The motive behind the stabbing has still not been clarified.

Stop Police Violence
David Katz 30/08/2009 16:03The police have found someone to blame for the recent wave of violence in Israel: the chareidi demonstrators. MK Rabbi Uri Maklev attacked the police in an interview with "Etrog", saying, "Whoever witnesses the police brutality, and chooses not to respond with call for 'zero tolerance', has no right to bring up the notion of 'zero tolerance' with regard to the chareidim."
