Hagaon Rav Baruch Pinchas ben Feiga Schreiber in a Difficult Condition
An Atzeres Tefillah was held in Ashdod for Hagaon Rav Pinchas Schreiber shlita, after the name Baruch was added on Friday. On Shabbos there was a worsening in his condition.
On Friday it was decided by Maran Hagaon Rabbi Aharon Leib Shteinman shlita and Maran Hagaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky shlita to add the name "Baruch"; his name for prayers is now Rabbi Baruch Pinchas ben Feiga.
The Atzeret was attended by rabbanim, dayanim, roshei kollelim, roshei yeshivot, roshei mesivtot, and educators. Hagaon Rabbi Yisrael Bunim Schreiber delivered the main address and spoke about his father. He told the kahal about his father’s rare deeds in Avodat Hashem, and about his path in halachah – how he treated himself with very exacting stringency but for others used to rely on leniencies in case of need. The public was aroused to cry out to Hashem with great feeling, especially after hearing about the incidents of their venerable Rav that were unknown for thirty years.
Immediately after his very moving words the congregation gathered to say Tehillim in order, led by Hagaon Rabbi Yechiel Novik shlita, Rosh Kollel Daat Yosef, and cried out with a loud awakening, as the many children present said Tehillim from pages that were handed out.
Our Jewish brothers are asked to increase prayer and supplications for the refuah shleimah of Hagaon Rabbi Baruch Pinchas ben Feiga shlita, together with all the sick in Yisrael.

The Mission Continues As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left.
