The Admor of Vien shlita arrived on a special visit on the occasion of his mother’s Yahrtzeit, the Rebbetzin of Sambathali a"h, which occurs tonight, Thusday night, erev Shabbat Chanukah.
The Rebbe shlita arrived in Israel at the end of last week, and stayed for Shabbos in Tzfas with many chassidim. On Sunday he went to visit the holy sites in the Galilee along with the bachurim of the Chassidus. During the day they said pirkei Tehillim in Meron, Tzfas, Tiberias and the region.
On Monday the Rebbe shlita went to Bnei Brak, where he visited Maran, author of the Shevet HaLevi shlita, who received him with great affection. For a long time they discussed timely matters, halachah, and aggadata. On Tuesday he visited the Admor of Vizhnitz shlita, as well as the Admor of Sanz shlita. On Wednesday he went to the holy places in Jerusalem with a small number of disciples.
The Admor shlita prayed for yeshuos and rachamim at Maarat HaMachpeilah, Kever Rachel, the Kever of Shimon HaTzaddik, and holy gravesites on Har Hazeitim. At a place where he could view Har HaBayis, he tore kriyah, his eyes streaming with tears.
Then he went to visit Maran the Gavad of the Eidah HaChareidis shlita, and comforted the mourning brothers, the Admorim, sons of the Bostoner Rebbe ztz’l who were sitting shiva on the death of their father.
Today, Thursday, he visited Admorim and rabbanim in Jerusalem. On Thursday night a Seudah will be held in honor of his mother’s Yarhtzeit. Tomorrow, after Shacharit, he will go to the gravesite on Har Hazeitim.
The chassidim are preparing for Shabbos in which he will stay in the Holy City of Jerusalem. Prayers will be held at the Beit Midrash Talmud Torah Dushinsky in the Zupnick compound in Meah Shearim.
The Shabbos meals will be held in Ulemei Shaarei Simcha, and on Shabbos night after the seudah a Tisch will be held; many are expected to attend.
Etrog has learned that the Admor of Vien shlita will light Chanukah candles before the public on Motzaei Shabbos and on Sunday. On Motzaei Shabbos he will light the candles at 7:00 PM and on Sunday at 8:00 PM at the home of his host, Harabani Hanaggid Rabbi Shmuel Bodinsky from Monsey on Rechov Yoel 3, in Jerusalem.
