Beit Shemesh is preparing for a Yom Tov: The inauguration of a new building for the Kehillah of Shevet HaLevi and a Hachnasas Sefer Torah to the new Beis Midrash, under the leadership of the Maran Hagaon Rabbi Shmuel Vosner, author of the Shevet HaLevi, shlita.

Yochanan Weisberg 06/12/2009 13:21
The many mitpallelim of the Beis Midrash, avreichim of the Kollel, and those who visit the Beis Hora’ah and Beis Hashem will arrive on Sunday to take part in the great simcha and to honor the Torah for the Chaunukas Habayis of the new building in Beit Shemesh. It contains halls for tefillah and Torah study, a mikveh, and a Beis Hora’ah.

Maran Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Vosner shlita, author of the Shevet Levi, will grace the event with his presence, in honor of the expansion and out of respect for his son Hagaon Rabbi Ben Tzion Halevi Vosner shlita, who serves as rav of the community.

The Hachnasas Sefer Torah will open with the Siyum of writing the last letters in the new mehudar Sefer Torah in the home of Hagaon Rabbi Ben Tzion Vosner shlita, and from there the procession will leave accompanied by the community’s children with torches to the new building on Nahal Sorek Street in Beit Shemesh.

Very many Beit Shemesh residents, led by maranan v’rabbanan and Admorim shlit’a, are expected to attend the event.
