  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Rabbi David Pinto in Israel to Pray for Donors

Rabbi David Pinto, who heads the 'Orot Chaim U'Moshe' institutions, came to Israel for a short visit in order to pray for the mosdos donors

Aharon Roth 26/11/2009 16:08
Rabbi David Pinto, who heads the 'Orot Chaim U'Moshe' institutions, arrived in Israel for a short visit, during which he prayed for the contributors to his mosdos at his father's kever and at the kivrei avos.

Immediately upon his arrival in Israel, Rabbi Pinto headed to his Beit Medrash in Rova Gimmel in Ashdod, where he was greeted by the avreichim of the Kollel and its Rabbanim.  Together they all set out to the gravesite of Rabbi Moshe Aharon Pinto zt"l. After reciting tehillim at the kever, Rabbi Pinto made a 'mi sheberach' for all donors and prayed that they may see much success.

From the cemetery, the group headed to the Kollel where Rabbi Pinto delivered a chizuk shmuess to the avreichim and the Yeshiva students. He dedicated the shiur to the memory of Rabbi Yosef Sitbun z"l, father of Rabbi Eliyahu Sitbon shlita, administrator of the 'Orot Chaim U'Moshe' institutions and Rabbi Pinto's dedicated assistant.

Following the shiur, Rabbi Pinto traveled to Me'aras HaMachpeila to daven at the kevarim of our forefathers. Several soldiers who were on duty at the site asked the Rav to bless them, a request he gladly fulfilled.

From there, Rabbi Pinto continued to kever Rachel, where he davened for the donors. His last stop before returning to France was the Kosel, where he prayed together with his talmidim.
