  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The Mashgiach Rabbi Dan Segal Returned to Israel

The mashgiach returned to Israel and participated in the demonstration in Jerusalem. He explained: "When you are hurting, you must protest, that is the purpose of a demonstration"

After a prolonged stay of several weeks in the United States, the mashgiach Rabbi Dan Segal shlita returned to Israel last Thursday. He was warmly welcomed by the mispalelim at his Beis Medrash on Thursday night.

On Shabbos morning, immediately after shacharis, the mashgiach made kiddush and then went to participate in the demonstration against the Shabbos desecration of 'Intel' in Jerusalem. The mashgiach, who was accompanied by the mispalelim of his shul, did not come too close to the site of the chaotic demonstration, but kept his distance and spoke to a small group of people who had gathered around him.

He explained that the purpose of a demonstration is to show the public that the chilul Shabbos hurts the frum community, and the kehillah is simply expressing its feeling by protesting.
