  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Ahmadinejad to Erdogan: The World is Happy About Your Attitude Towards Israel

The Turkish Prime Minister met with the President of Iran during a government ceremony. The latter said that Erdogan's criticism of Israel was having "positive global effects", and added that the "Zionist regime" is illegal, and poses "a threat to all nations." The two leaders spoke about common interests, and on their joint efforts to help improve the state of world economy.

Turkey's Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, landed yesterday in Iran, and this morning was welcomed in a government ceremony at the President's residence in Teheran. Erdogan met with the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who chose to praise the Turkish Prime Minister for the critical remarks he recently made about Israel and the IDF, and his success in inciting the media against the Jewish state.

During a meeting the two held this morning, Ahmadinejad said to Erdogan that Turkey's "clear stance regarding the Zionist regime will have positive effects throughout the world."

Ahmadinejad continued to attack the Israeli government, calling it "illegal" and "a threat", and went on to say that "The Zionist regime is a threat to all nations and it wants the region to be free of strong countries." Ahmadinejad had the gall to add, "Today we see that applying force in Gaza was not enough for them (Israel) so they are attacking holy Jerusalem."

During the meeting, Ahmadinejad also said that "Iran and Turkey share common interests and threats, and if we stand by each other we will be able to overcome all of the threats." The two also referred to the global economic crisis, and Ahmadinejad offered to extricate the West from the dead end it has reached, in its efforts to end the crisis. According to Ahmadinejad, "The world is yearning for new theories, and Turkey and Iran can fill this void."

The nuclear issues were also discussed during the meeting, and President Ahmadinejad made subtle references to Israel – a country which has never acknowledged possessing a nuclear arsenol. Ahmadinejad said that when an illegal regime has atomic weapons, "it's impossible to block others from having peaceful nuclear energy." Erdogan, in turn, remarked that "those who claim they are after nuclear disarmament in the world should start the measure in their own country."

Ahmadinejad was officially welcomed by the Vice President of Iran, Mohammad Reza Rahimi, when he arrived. A delegation of Iranian cabinet ministers, parliament members, private sector representatives, and media representatives were present to greet the Turkish President during a formal ceremony.

Ahamadinejad expressed great affection for the Muslim leader of Turkey during their meeting, and said with characteristic enthusiasm that Iran and Turkey are like sisters, and as sisters they would face up to the Zionist threat together.
