  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Photo Gallery from Visit of Sadigura Admor, shlita, to Ukraine

"Etrog" received photographs from the special, moving trip made by the holy Admor of Sadigura, shlita, to Chernoble in the Ukraine.

As reported earlier on "Etrog", Maran the holy Admor of Sadigura, shlita, took a trip to visit the tzion of his grandfather, the holy Admor of Ruzhin. One of the chassidim who accompanied the Admor on the trip brought us a full report.

The holy Admor set out together with a small group that included family members and attendants, in honor of the yahrzeit that was on the 3rd of Cheshvan. The holy Admor, shlita, arrived in Kiev on Tuesday last week, where the students of the local Talmud Torah waited to welcome him with great excitement.

With sincere expressions of affection, the Admor, shlita, greeted the children and showered them with blessings. He also gave their teachers a special bracha. From there, the holy Admor of Sadigura, shlita, traveled to Sadigura.

In preparation for the Shacharis prayers, a delegation of chassidim from London had also arrived in Sadigura, lead by the tzaddik Rabbi Yisrael Moshe Freidman, shlita,  son of the Admor of Sadigura, shlita, and rabbi of the Sadigura community in London. One of the young chassidim merited to have the holy Admor of Sadigua, shlita, lay his tefillin for him for the first time.

Immediately after Shacharis, the entire congregation went to the holy tzion, lead by the holy Admor of Sadigura, shlita. They recited chapters of Tehillim, as is the custom in Ruzhin, with great enthusiasm and elevated spirits. When they concluded reciting Tehillim and Kaddish, the congregation approached the Admor, shilta, to give him notes to read at the holy tzion.
The Admor stood at the tzion and read all of the notes, containing the names of Sadigura chassidim from all over the world. The congregation stood in silence, awed at the sound of the holy Admor's voice, praying intensely to Hashem for the good of individuals and the community as a whole.

At the end of the moving event, the chassidim broke out in song and dance, then accompanied the Admor, shilta, to their lodgings. They held a large tisch in honor of the Hilulah. Maran the holy Admor of Sadigura, shilta, spoke at length about the teachings of  his grandfather.

The next morning, the group traveled to Anipoli, where they visited the tzion of the holy rabbi, the great Maggid of Mezritch, ztz"l, and then went on to Mezibuzh, to the tzion of the holy Baal Shem Tov, ztz"l.
