  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

The Second Day in the Presence of Holiness

On the second day of his visit to America the Rachmistrivka Rebbe shlit’a visited the home of his uncle and spoke in the Yeshivah Ketanah

Yosef Feffer 27/10/2009 12:31
fter the Rachmistrivka Rebbe shlit’a visited his uncle last Wednesday, he returned to Borough Park, and immediately visited the new yeshivah, “Meor HaTorah,” headed by the rosh yeshivah HaRav HaGaon Yosef Meyer shlit’a. The yeshivah was established recently and has earned an excellent reputation, and young Torah scholars from all over New York are coming there to study the Torah with hasmadah and work on their avodas Hashem.

The Admor shlit’a spoke words of chizuk to the bochurim during the emotionally laden event, and then all the bochurim passed by the Admor to wish him “Shalom Aleichem.” The Admor also gave his blessing to the yeshivah’s staff—that they should merit to increase the knowledge of Torah and glorify it.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit’a came to honor a chuppah with his presence. It was the chasunah of the son of his close disciple, the philanthropist HaRav David Margolios of London, who is an important supporter of the Mosdos in Eretz Yisrael. The Rebbe participated in the chuppah and was mesader kiddushin.

Afterwards the Rebbe returned to his host’s home, where he was visited by the Spinka Rebbe shlit’a of Borough Park. The conversation between the two lasted a long time.

Late at night, the Rebbe returned to the chasunah and danced with the chassan and the mechutanim for a long time, as is his holy conduct.

On Thursday morning the Rebbe davened Shacharis in his host’s home, and in the early afternoon he parted from his chassidim and made his way to the airport, whereupon he returned to his home in Jerusalem.

“When a tzaddik is in a city, he is its glory, its radiance, its splendor.”
