  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. Atzeres and Hesped for the Rav of the Beit Knesses HaGadol Hayashan in Bnei Brak

Rabbanim HaGaonim shlit’a made a hesped for the Rav of the Beit Knesses who passed away on Sukkos

A large crowd gathered in the Beit Knesses HaGadol Hayashan in Bnei Brak on Sunday for an Atzeres Hesped and Hisorerus in memory of the unforgettable rav of the Beis Knesses, HaGaon Rabbi Shimon Yehudah Nankansi ztz’l, who passed away on Chol Moed Sukkos, after he was purified with difficult and bitter sufferings.

Sunday night there was an evening of Atzeres Hesped and Hisorerus in which prominent rabbis spoke, including the following: HaGaon Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein shlit’a, rav of Ramat HaSharon, HaGaon Rabbi Baruch Dov Povarski shlit’a, one of the roshei yeshivos of Ponevezh, HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Meir Altman shlit’a, from Chug Chasam Sofer, and the son of the niftar, who has taken his position in the shul, HaRav HaGaon Rabbi Meir Nankansi shlit’a.

The rabbis delivering the hespedim spoke about the niftar’s greatness, his strong stance for the holiness of the Beis Midrash, his battle against the attempt to uproot the foundations of the minyanim, and more. The congregants of the Beis Midrash accepted upon themselves to finish Shas before his first yahrtzeit, to unite themselves in his memory, and to accept upon themselves good deeds for an aliyah for his neshamah.
