  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

The Gaavad of the Eidah Chareidis Visits Gedolim in Bnei Brak

The Gaavad visited several gedolim in Bnei Brak yesterday

Yochanan Weisberg 23/10/2009 08:48

Yesterday afternoon Rabbi Yitzchak Tovia Weiss, Gaavad of the Eidah Chareidis shlita, visited several gedolim in Bnei Brak.

Rabbi Weiss, who rarely leaves Jerusalem, arrived in Bnei Brak for personal reasons. After conducting his errands, he turned to his gabbai and requested to meet with Rabbi Michel Yehudah Lefkovitch shlita and Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky shlita.

Rabbi Weiss firstly visited Rabbi Kanievsky, who welcomed him warmly and stood up in his honor when Rabbi Weiss entered the room. The Rabbanim quickly delved into the sea of Torah and became intensely engrossed in their conversation. At the conclusion of their meeting, Rabbi Kanievsky escorted Rabbi Weiss to the door.

Immediately thereafter, Rabbi Weiss visited Rabbi Lefkovitch shlita in Kiryas Ponovezh. They spoke about several current issues and exchanged divrei Torah. In the middle of the meeting, the Gaavad asked all those present in the room to please leave, as he wished to speak to Rabbi Lefkovitch in private.

Before they parted, they blessed each other warmly and the Rosh Yeshiva escorted Rabbi Weiss to his car.
