  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. A special and impressive visit took place on Tuesday night in the abode of the Satmar Rebbe shlit’a in Williamsburg.

The guest was HaGaon Rabbi Avraham Yafeh Schlesinger shlit’a, the rav of Geneva, who came to the Admor shlit’a to report about his activities in the field of Kashrut in Europe. They spoke for a long time about matters of Kashrut, including the topic of shechita in the US.

Near the end of the visit the rav of Geneva, HaGaon Rabbi Avraham Yafeh Schlesinger shlit’a, took out a sefer written by his father, entitled “Beer Sarim,” and presented it to the Admor of Satmar shlit’a, who expressed great appreciation for the gift.
The Admor shlit’a looked into the sefer, and afterwards told HaGaon Rabbi Avraham Schlesinger shlit’a that his father, the Admor “HaBaruch Moshe” zy’a held the sefer in very high regard.
