Rabbi Ovadyah Yosef Returned to the Legendary 'Hayazdim' Beit Knesset Last Night
For the first time after three years, Rabbi Ovadyah Yosef returned to the 'Hayazdim' beit knesset to deliver a shiur
After a three-year break, the Rishon L'Tzion will return to the 'Tiferet Yerushalayim' beit Knesset, belonging to the Yazdim community, to deliver a shiur every motzaei Shabbat. Rabbi Ovadyah had stopped delivering his shiur there, as he was too weak to walk all the way to the Bucharian Quarter, and instead delivered the shiur at the shul adjacent to his house in Har Nof.
Yesterday, Rabbi Ovadyah delivered a chizuk speech at the beit knesset to the avreichim and Yeshiva students of the community, leading up to the winter zeman which will begin next week.
The event was organized by the 'Dorshei Hashem' association, which organizes chizuk assemblies to bnei Torah during bein hazemanim.
The main speech was held by Rabbi Ovadyah, and the event was attended by prominent Rabbanim, among them Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef, Rosh Yeshivas 'Chazon Ovadyah', and Rabbi Shlomo ben Shimon, a member of the Beit Hamidrash Hagadol.
Hundreds of people participated in the special event.
