  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Hundreds Accompanied the Bachur Yisrael Noach Blau on His Final Journey

The levayah of Yisrael Noach Blau, of the 'Kol Torah' Yeshiva, was attended by hundreds of people

Aharon Roth 13/10/2009 21:13

Last night, the son of Rabbi Peretz Blau, Yisrael Noach, passed away after suffering immensely from a terrible illness.

Yisrael Noach's father is Rabbi Peretz Blau who is a noted marbitz Torah in Yerushalayim, and his grandfather is the renowned askan Rabbi David Nachman Blau of Agudas Yisrael. The bachur was born in Kislev of 6750.

As a child, he learned in the 'Toras Moshe' Talmud Torah, and later in the 'Noam Hatalmud' and 'Kol Torah' Yeshivas, where he was known for his outstanding hasmadah.

One year ago, he fell ill and suffered unimaginable pain, however those who surrounded him in the hospital were awe-struck by his constant yishuv hadaas and inner strength.

One of his friends told 'Etrog' that the bachurim from Yeshiva cannot be consoled and took his death very hard. It is difficult for them to internalize the fact that Yisrael Noach is gone. His hasmadah, exceptional middos and words of chizuk will always be remembered.

His condition deteriorated in the past few days and he passed away yesterday surrounded by his family members, who recited the shema.

During the levayah yesterday, which was attended by hundreds of people, Yisrael Noach z"l was eulogized by his father and grandfather to the loud sobs of all those present.
