  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

A huge throng of chassidim and followers of the Beis Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky chassidic court participated Tuesday night in the rejoicing of a Hachnasas Sefer Torah to the sanctuary of the Beis Midrash HaGadol Dushinsky on Rechov Shmuel HaNavi in Jerusalem. The sefer Torah is a gift of the esteemed philanthropist HaRav Uri Fuchsbruner, one of the chief contributors to the Dushinsky institutions.

The ceremony for writing the letters was held in the afternoon in the holy abode of the Admor of Dushinsky shlit’a on Rechov Ezras Torah. Rabbis and prominent community leaders arrived there to write the final letters in the sefer Torah.
Afterwards, the procession proceeded with great glory and splendor; at the front hundreds of Dushinsky Talmud Torah children of Jerusalem marched with torches of fire in their hands, while the students of the Yeshivah and Kollel danced in circles through the streets of Jerusalem.

Throngs of chassidim participated in the rejoicing of bringing the Sefer Torah into the sanctuary of the Beis Midrash HaGadol to honor the Torah, which concluded when the Torah scroll was placed into the Aron HaKodesh accompanied by reciting Psalms.
