Pullet, Meat and Pepper 'Tower'

This recipe yields a delicious main course in no time. The beauty of this dish lies in its presentation, when it is served in the shape of a 'tower'. It can be prepared beforehand, and on Shabbos, right before the seudah, it can be placed on the hotplate. It's neither complicated nor time-consuming. Try and see!

You will need:

10 pullets (skinned)
15 pastrami slices
15 smoked meat slices

Marinade:

3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
4 tablespoons dry white wine
3 tablespoons chili sauce
4 pressed garlic cloves
2 tablespoons corn flour

Mix all ingredients for marinade and pour over pullets. Leave pullets in marinade for 2-4 hours.
Roast pullets in oven for 20 minutes on 390 F (200 C), or fry in oil for about 6 minutes on each side.

Roasted Peppers:

½ cup oil
4 onions, diced
salt, pepper to taste
7 red peppers, halved

Fry onions in oil until browned, add spices. Roast peppers in oven until they are soft. Remove from oven and peel. Cut into stripes.



To Assemble:

Place a pullet on a nice dish. Place a teaspoon of fried onions on top of it, followed by a slice of smoked meat, a stripe of roasted red pepper, another teaspoon of fried onions, a pastrami slice and top it all off with an additional pullet. (These assemblance tips are only recommendations.)

    I understand from the Hebrew side that a pullet is actually a boneless thigh. thought this is helpful
