Britain's Foreign Minister David Miliband said during his meeting with Israel's Ambassador to Britain Ron Prosor that his government will work to change the absurd situation and stressed the importance of the strategic relations between both countries. Miliband said that the current situation is impossible, and that Israeli officials must have the ability to visit Britain. He promised that he would speak to Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and opposition leader Tzippi Livni in person.
