In the wake of Barak's decision to cancel the arrangement between the Defense Ministry and Rabbi Eliyahu Melamed's Hesder yeshiva, "Har Bracha", Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, shlita, Chief Rabbi of Sfadt, has called for an emergency general meeting of the Chief Rabbinate. Rabbi Eliyahu hopes to reach a consensus among the rabbis regarding how to respond to Barak's move.
