Delray Beach, Florida: Menorah Erected at Last Minute
R. Waxman 13/12/2009 19:28
A Chanukah menorah was intentionally left out of a Delray Beach's Old School Square holiday display. On Thursday, a number of residents noticed the absence of the menorah, which had been part of the display every year. A complaint was filed, and the city council scrambled to have a menorah erected before sundown on Friday.
The goal was achieved, and a menorah was lit alongside the holiday lights of the other religion represented in the town.
