Senior Fatah member Marwan Barghouti, who is serving a sentence in an Israeli prison, said today that the Shalit deal has nearly been sealed, but there are still some gaps between the sides.
"I think the deal is in its final stages, which is the most difficult part. I hope that it will be implemented in the very near future, under the condition that Israel accepts the list it received from Hamas. The prisoners are willing to wait until all the names on the list are approved, without any exceptions," said Barghouti in an interview with the "al-Quds" Palestinian newspaper.
