MK Israel Hasson (Yisrael Beiteinu) criticized the government for reaching a compromise with Shas on women who evade army service. According to the compromise, women who are accused of falsely claiming religious affiliation in order to evade the draft will appeal to representatives of the Chief Rabbinate.
"This is a decision that constitutes capitulation to evaders and the deception of the Israeli public, which bears the brunt of it. The Israeli government that passed this resolution is making a shameful and offensive educational message, that harms the attempt to fight the draft dodging phenomenon," Hasson said.
