The Government Approves an Emergency Loan of 120 million NIS to IMI

The Government has confirmed today (Sunday) the request of Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz to grant an emergency loan of 120 million NIS to Israel Military Industries (IMI) to pay salaries. Half of the money was already transferred and 60 million more will be transferred within 20 days. The government has imposed on the Government Companies Authority Director, Mr. Doron Cohen, to prepare a progress report on privatization within 60 days.
The current loan is granted after the Defense Ministry had already passed an advance of 300 million NIS to IMI.
