03/12/2009 12:20
The Jerusalem District Court denied a motion submitted by the Reform Organizations, to revoke the decision made by the Jerusalem City Council to increase the budgets of the chareidi schools in the city.
Until an appeal hearing takes place in a month, the city will continue to provide 100% of the funding for the chareidi education system. Deputy Mayor Yitzchak Pindrus said to "Etrog", "Even the court understands that there is a limit to how much abuse children can be subjected to, and that it is unthinkable to cut off the schools' water and electricity."
