The Brazilian Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Association spoke out this evening against the demand made by the Association to Iran to immediately halt construction of a uranium enrichment plant near Qom.
"That decision paves the way for sanctions, and does nothing to further negotiations," said the Brazilian ambassador, explaining that his country abstained from the vote and is in favor of continued dialogue with Iran.
