A 56 year old man who suffered a cardiac arrest, and whose heart stopped beating for 47 minutes, was given a second chance on life by a dedicated team of doctors who would not give up on him. On August 17, Joe Trialoso collapsed in the hospital emergency room, and after 47 minutes of treatment – which included 4,500 chest compressions and eight shocks from a defibrillator – Tiralosi's heart began to beat again. Today he told his story to CBS news in America.
