Avodah Zarah in Nepal: 200,000 Animals to be Sacrificed in 2 Days

CNN reports that the annual sacrifice of animals to a "goddess", as offering of thanks, began today in southern Nepal. Approximately 5 million people from Nepal and India are expected to attend the ceremonies accompanying the slaughter and consumption of over 200,000 water buffalo, goats, and roosters.
