Matzav.com reported that a Rabbi Applebaum from Bnei Brak has become a father for the first time...to twins…at age 72. Rabbi Applebaum was married twice, but never merited to have any children. Two years ago, another shidduch was arranged for him, and he received a blessing from Rabbi Steinman, shlita, that despite the fact that his new wife was in her fifties, and had never had a child, the couple would have a son.
A year and half later, Rabbi Applebaum has been blessed with not one, but two children of his own. This Friday night, Rabbi Applebaum will host a shalom zachor at their home in the Naot Yosef neighborhood of Bnei Brak.
