Marwan Barghouti, a senior Fatah official sitting in an Israeli prison, calls on the Palestinians to open in popular struggle in order to reach a Palestinian state.
Barghouti said this in an interview with Reuters news agency. He said that the fact that peace talks have failed means the Palestinians have to fight the settlements and the Jewish construction in Jerusalem. "Choosing only negotiations has never been our way," he said.
