China: Construction in Gilo Harms the Palestinian Trust in Israel, and Hampers Negotiations

The Chinese Foreign Ministry publicized a critical response to the Israeli decision to expand the Gilo neighborhood by 900 housing units. "We urge Israel to take concrete steps to regain the Israeli-Palestinian relationship of trust, and to create optimal conditions for renewing peace talks between the two sides, as soon as possible," said Tang Jiaxuan, China's Foreign Minister.
