Britain: Against the Construction in Gilo

Great Britain is opposed to the Israeli decision to expand the Gilo neighborhood in Jerusalem. "The decision to build in Gilo was a mistake, and we are against it," read a statement released by the British Foreign Ministry today. "The Foreign Minister made it very clear that any permanent peace agreement with the Palestinians must include shared rule in Jerusalem. Building in East Jerusalem and in the occupied territories will make such an arrangement more difficult to implement," the statement said.
