The New York Times reports that the Bloomberg administration has struck a deal to pay $95.6 million dollars to a private developer, for 7 acres in the middle of Coney Island. City officials hope to develop the area as a year-round amusement park, in an effort to revive the run-down area that was once a popular site for family outings in New York.
The final deal will be signed and sealed today.
