Water Desalination Project in Cyprus Approved by Israeli Government

The Social Economic Cabinet, headed by Minister of Finance, Dr. Yuval Steinitz, approved this morning the desalination project planned for Cyrpus. The Israeli water company, Mekorot, will construct a desalination facility in Cyprus, in cooperation with the Cyrpriot company, Netcom Ltd. The plant will be located in the Episkopi area of Limassol, and will initially be able to provide 40,000 cubic meters of desalinated water per day.
