The United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported that at the end of the week of October 24, another 19 children in the US had died of the Mexican Flu. A total of 114 have died since the beginning of the pandemic in April.
CDC Director Thomas R. Frieden said in a Friday news conference that in a normal flu season, 40 to 50 children die, so the Mexican flu is affecting children much more severely than seasonal flu.
