Rabbi Gafni: The Drought Tax is a Bad Tax
Chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, Knesset Member Rabbi Moshe Gafni, said that the Drought Tax is a bad tax, and he is moving to have it revoked.
In an interview with Reshet Beit, Rabbi Gafni said that the Finance Committee already requested last week to freeze the tax during the winter months. He sharply criticized the reform that has been enacted in recent years regarding water use in Israel, and says that consumers are being asked to pay far too high price for water, aside from the new tax.
