Palestinian sources reported early this evening that a young Palestinian resident of Awarta, located south of Shechem, was killed after his car overturned while being chased by Israeli soldiers.
The IDF claims that the young man, Mohammed Kwarik, refused to stop at the checkpoint. The soldiers on duty then shot at the car, which is standard procedure when a car does not stop as instructed. The young man lost control of his car, and it flipped over and crashed, killing him on impact.
