The Regional Court in Nazereth denied the appeal submitted by Shlomo Gueta, who has taken over public land for his personal use on the shore of the Kinneret. The court ordered him to vacate the strip of beach on the eastern side of the Kinneret, most commonly known as "Hof Lebanon".
The court ruled that the Regional Council has the right to close down and evict from public land illegal businesses. The court denied Gueta's request that he receive financial compensation for the money he spent erecting structures without a building permit.
