Meretz Calls on Government to Establish Independent Inquiry Commision for "Cast Lead"

The Meretz party has called upon the Israeli government to establish an independent inquiry commission to analyze the events that took place during the "Cast Lead" operation conducted by the IDF last winter in Gaza.
"It is a clear Israeli interest to investigate the events of the IDF offensive in Gaza," said former Meretz Knesset member, Mossi Raz. "The government must correct its error and establish a commission of inquiry according to the schedule set forth by the Goldstone report."
