Lieberman to Mexican Foreign Minister: "Thanks for Abstaining from Vote on Goldstone Report"

The Israeli Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, personally thanked his friend, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Mexico, Mrs. Lourdes Aranda, during her visit to Israel today. Lieberman expressed his appreciation of Mexico's decision to abstain from the vote on the Goldstone report in the U.N. Human Rights Council.
The Foreign Ministry was satisfied with the dialogue conducted with Mexico, and said that the representatives from the two countries discussed a wide range of topics, such as political and economic relations between Israel and Mexico, business and trade issues, international cooperation, tourism, education, media and technology, culture, and legal and consular issues.
The Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Danny Ayalon, said, "Mexico is a major country in Latin America, and the visit of the Mexican representatives to Israel only serves to strengthen the ties between the two countries."
