Government to Discuss Today 2% Budget Cut
Avi Moshe 01/10/2009 10:11
The government will meet this morning for a special meeting to discuss the proposed blanket budget cut of 2%, which includes a large cut out of the budget allocated to yeshivos. The motive for the cut is an attempt to make up for unexpected Defense Ministry expenses, and the need to fund Mexican flu immunizations for the citizens of Israel.
Sources from the Labor party said that despite earlier expressions of opposition, the Labor party ministers will not vote against the proposed cut.
